FOMAHI

Friends of Music at Hamilton International

Friends of Music at Hamilton International (“FOMAHI”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that was formed in 2009.  Our mission is to support Hamilton’s multiple ensembles by providing students with access to music education and performance opportunities.  These ensembles range in ability from beginning (appropriate for students completely new to music) to advanced in jazz, concert band and orchestra; and choir.  Junior Jazz is offered as an after-school program through HOST (Hawks Out of School Time).

What does FOMAHI do?

FOMAHI provides volunteer assistance to music teachers, in a combined effort to help strengthen and build participation in daily music classes, and in a variety of concerts and festivals.  All music parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in activities that support Hamilton’s music program.  To this end, FOMAHI also provides financial support through its fundraising activities.

Meetings

FOMAHI is governed by a Board of Directors, and meetings are held monthly in the Band Room.  All music parents and guardians are  welcome to attend these meetings.  For a more complete schedule of meetings and events please go to our web site at www.fomahi.org

Communication

Information about the music program is regularly communicated to music families by email, on the FOMAHI web site at www.fomahi.org and in flyers sent home with students.  Music families are encouraged to check the web site and to sign-up for the email list to stay updated and informed.
